Commons is a calm, high-signal place for creatives to talk shop. A few rules keep it that way.
01
Be kind, be specific.
Critique the work, never the person. Specific, useful feedback over hot takes — and no pile-ons. If you wouldn't say it across a table, don't post it.
02
Be honest.
Real rates, real experiences, real outcomes. Self-promotion is welcome when you flag it (it shows an amber tag) — hiding it is not. Honesty over polish.
03
Anonymous is for safety, not cover.
Posting anonymously gives you a stable alias so you can speak freely about rates, clients, or employers without exposing yourself. It is not a license to harass — the same rules apply.
04
Reports go to a human.
Nothing here is auto-actioned. Flag a post or comment and a real curator reviews it. Tell us what felt off — context helps us act fairly.
Posting, commenting, and voting are part of Supporter. Use of Commons is also governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
